I met Rick Valicenti from THIRST when I was the President of our STA (Society of Typographic Arts) design chapter at Eastern Michigan University. I had the pleasure of designing his poster for a EMU design lecture. I have always been a huge fan of the work at “3ST”. Ricks work has won a long list of nationally acclaimed awards, to many to list. Many years later our paths crossed again and I propose a joint collaboration project Thirst x Character. This is one of the wonderful results from the first pair of our limited collaboration Thirst x Character series.
